The Cortijo is perched 900m above sea level on the edge of the Poqeuira valley 1.5 klm from the main road. With a long history of welcoming quests, the casita was once used as a bar for travellers to refresh themselves on the way down to Orgiva. Orgiva is 15 minutes away by car,this is the gateway to La Alpujarra, the range of mountains and valleys in the Sierra Nevada national park that can be equated with Tuscany and Provence in earlier times. Nearby are the beautiful whitewashed Moorish villages of Bubion, Capillera and Pampaneira.
