reached by 25km of good track, and at an altitude of 1,800m, a cortijo of 100 sq.m. built, with four bedrooms, a large salon with a fireplace and open plan kitchen, a shower room, and terraces around the building. Construction is of very good quality with modern materials, and with stone cladding. The land in total is more than 4 hectares, one part consisting of 10,000 sq.m. of fenced land, terraced with walnuts (about 250), 400 fruit trees of various types, and about 50 chestnuts. There is abundant water for irrigation, that supplies the domestic water as well. The remainder of the land consists of 30,0000 sq.m. of hillside land with mountain oak and other trees and vegetation, descending to the Rio Lanjaron a (brook) trout river. There are footpaths that take one to Niguelas and Lanjaron in two to three hours, and by car Orgiva is about 45 minutes. The area was in former times cultivated, and there are a number of cortijos that have been restored for holiday homes, largely by spaniards, this being one of them.
